A recently constructed country cottage nestling in a quiet country setting with panoramic views of Donegal mountains and Rivers. Dunes cottage is surrounded by some of the finest natural woodlands in Donegal and a short walk across a beautiful stretch of bogland will bring you to the banks of the leannon,one of our most famous fishing rivers. Donegal is one of Irelands most beautiful and unspoiled counties and Cottian is an ideal location to explore it. Horse-riding, golfing, swimming, hillwalking, fishing, restaurants, pubs are all within easy driving distance.

Dunnes holiday cottage was completed in June 2004 and has been awarded A 4 star classification with a Validated Access Scheme certification of Category 3 for disabled access from the Irish Tourist Board. The cottage has been completed to a high standard throughout with special features like the half door and kitchen dresser adding charm to this modern cottage. The cottage is equipped with all modern conveniences associated with a 4* (four star) property but still retains a traditional feel with its half door stone flagged floor and old hand made kitchen dresser. A friendly welcome is guaranteed. This holiday cottage is an ideal base for your holiday activities Especially for fishing and hillwalking in Donegal. The cottage enjoys beautiful and unspoiled views of the countryside with its own private gardens and woodland walks. Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Doe Castle, Glebe Gallery, Gartan Outdoor Pursuit center, Rosapenna 18 hole championship Links golf course, swimming are all within 8 mile radius and the main town of Letterkenny is just a 12 minute drive away.

The accommodation is on two floors.The ground floor has a large open plan sitting/dining room with Timber beam ceilings and log burning cast iron stove. The kitchen with stone flagged floor and old style kitchen dresser is equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.The utility room off the kitchen with washing machine,tumbledryer, Sink and rear toilet. There is one double bedroom with en-suite facilities, Colour television with telext and walk in closet. This room is fully equipped for disable access with a category 3 classification from the Irish Tourist Board

In the sitting room there is old style built stone fireplace with open turf fire Oak wooden floors and colour television,from this room there is beautiful views out towards the Natural woodland and the river lennon. The cottage has full oil fired central heating throughout and constant supply of hot water.. All bed linen,duvets and towels are included in the rental rates. Cot and high chair available by request.

Pine stairway leads to the accommodation on the first floor an open plan landing with timber ceilings. One double bedroom with en-suite,colour television with telext. In this room one wall is built in natural stone giving the room an old traditional style feel, from this room there is beautiful views out towards the river and hills beyond. There are two spacious twin bedrooms with large bathroom and shower, all floors are laid in oak and pine wood.

Sorry there is a no-smoking policy at the cottage but we welcome owner's pets. There is plenty car parking space at the cottage with its own private car park. There is a path down through the property to the river lennon where you can fish for salmon and brown trout, Fishing is also available on lakes and rivers close by. For hillwalkers Errigal Donegals highest mountain, Muckish. Lough Salt Mountain is within easy driving reach. Our family are experienced hillwalkers and guides or advice will be given if required.

All bed, bathroom and kitchen linen are provided. Duvets and covers, towels, and all cleaning materials, toilet paper and bin bags, Oil fire central heating and Electricity are all included in the rental price.

There is a excellent supermarket/ pub /restaurant locally and the main town of Letterkenny with theatre, cinema, swimming pool and Town park is just a 12 minute drive away.

Rental peroids are generally Saturday-Saturday arrival 4pm and departure at 10am.
