Smiths holiday cottage is a three bedroom traditonal holiday cottage on a working farm in Donegal Ireland. The cottage was completely restored and refurbished 10 years ago to a very high standard of accommodation.

This beautiful holiday cottage is set on 52 acres, 16 acres of farmland and the remainder comprises a 36 acre wooded site, most of which is designated National Heritage Area. The cottage property extends down to, and has extensive frontage on the River Lennon, where one can walk for miles and not see a soul. There is a path down through the property to the river lennon where there are a great variety of Flora and Fauna to be found. On reaching the river you can fish for salmon or brown trout. We specialise in Angling in Donegal and hillwalking in Donegal and gillies and guides may be provided.
Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Doe Castle, Glebe Gallery, Gartan Outdoor Pursuits Centre, numerous golf courses, riding stables, swimming are all within 8 mile radius. The main town of Letterkenny is a 12 minute drive from the cottage.

There is an outbuilding divided into different sheds. The top one has the oil tank, a deep freeze, tumble dryer and a washing machine. The front of the cottage is a real sun trap when the sun is out (it does happen in Ireland contrary to popular belief!). There is a garden seat outside the front door. There is a barbecue in the lean- to shed beside the holiday cottage. There is a tiny walled garden which is mainly filled with herbs which you are welcome to use.

Inside the self catering accommodation offers a large kitchen/dining room with stairs leading to one double and one twin bedroom and there is also a double bed in an alcove on the landing. To the right of the front door is a sitting room with open fire with colour television/video and a single bedroom off it with a wash hand basin.

The kitchen has a microwave and Stanley range cooker which also does the heating and hot water. There is also an immersion to boost the hot water if required. The bathroom has a comfortable bath with Electric shower over it.

All the beds have electric blankets which will be on when you arrive. All linen for the self catering holiday accommodation is provided and beds in the cottage will be made up. Bath and hand towels are also provided but beach towels are not.

This holiday cottage is ideal holiday accommodation for children as it is back from the road up a short lane in Donegal, Ireland. The river is well below the road through fields.
